Biography
Professor Peter Silburn AM is a neurologist and internationally recognized specialist in Parkinson’s disease, neurodegenerative disorders, and deep brain stimulation (DBS). He is an Honorary Professor and Co-Director of the Asia-Pacific Centre for Neuromodulation at the Queensland Brain Institute, The University of Queensland. His clinical and research work focuses on movement disorders, neuromodulation, and advanced surgical therapies for neurological conditions. He has contributed extensively to clinical research and has published widely in neurology and neuroscience. Professor Silburn was appointed a Member of the Order of Australia (AM) in recognition of his contributions to medicine and neurology.
